Thresholds: Reimagining the Contemporary Condition
This selection brings together eleven artists from across the world, with a strong focus on the South Asian region and its diasporas, united under the theme Thresholds—a curatorial lens that explores transformation, tension, and hybridity within contemporary sociopolitical and cultural landscapes. These artists, each with distinct visual languages and mediums, investigate the thresholds between tradition and modernity, reality and artifice, belonging and alienation, materiality and memory.
In a time marked by global flux, ecological strain, and postcolonial reconsideration, the selected works create a charged dialogue between personal narrative and collective history. Thresholds is not merely a transition—it is a critical space where identities are forged, contested, and reimagined.
Aicon Contemporary returns to Delhi this year with 17 brilliant artists and their beautiful work. Visit us at Booth B15, India Art Fair, from 5-8 February, 2026.
