What Persists | Moslem Khezri - - Exhibitions - Aicon Contemporary

Aicon Contemporary presents What Persists, a solo show featuring Moslem Khezri presenting works from his ongoing series We Keep Reviewing.

Rooted in reflections on memory, repetition, and narration, the exhibition considers how lived experience is reshaped through recall. What is preserved? What is omitted? What transforms in the act of remembering?

Drawing from the environment of Iranian all-boys schools, We Keep Reviewing revisits familiar scenes not as fixed recollections but as evolving constructions. Khezri approaches memory as something unstable: narratives emerge only through distance, requiring the forgetting of detail in order to form meaning. His figurative paintings hold this tension, allowing atmosphere, light, and gesture to suggest what cannot be fully recounted.

Rather than offering resolution, What Persists asks how meaning accumulates through return and revision, and how personal memory becomes a shared, symbolic language over time.
